IMDb.com has posted on their Dawn Treader page:
“Jared Connon….location scout: New Zealand”
This confirms that, at a time in the Dawn Treader production, that they have been scouting in New Zealand for an oppurtunity to film. Still, take this with a grain of salt; it is not confirmed whether or not filming will actually occur in New Zealand.

I think it’s inevitable that some scenes will be shot in NZ … it’s just has such a stunning landscape that is accurate enough to represent the book in film format.
