We’ve excited to be the first to announce that Ramandu’s daughter has been cast! The actress is named Laura Brent. She is from Australia, and you can see a better picture of her here. (It’s copyrighted, so we haven’t posted it.)
Ramandu’s Daughter lived with her father Ramandu, a retired star, on an island very close to the end of the world. Her name was not recorded. It was not known who her mother was. When Caspian’s crew landed on this island, they see her before her father, and she was mentioned as being extremely beautiful, quite tall, graceful and has ‘yellow’ hair. Caspian was attracted (also fallen in love with her) to her and told her before they leave that he would be back.

Very cool! Can i ask a question? Did the production crew send this casting announcement directly to you? If so, did they use a specific terminology for her character name? i.e. “Ramandu’s Daughter” rather than “Star Girl” or any other possible way you might refer to her as? Thanks!

Yes, the production contacted us about casting for Ramandu’s Daughter. They did not, however, reply with their “terminology.” It’s probably safe to assume that they wouldn’t call her something obnoxious like “Star Girl,” but for all we know, they could give her her own name. We’ll keep you posted!

She doesn’t have a lot of information on IMDB though, I wonder what her acting experience is.

Kudos! Great detective work getting this news! I am sure that the casting crew has picked another winner. It will be exciting to get to discover someone that we do not know…..sort of makes you a little more anxious to see the film.
Hmmm I think she will do very well, and mabey this film will be her big brake…
