ABC Brisbane reports:
Filming of the third Narnia movie, “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader,” has almost finished.
Yesterday, Spencer Howson had a look round the set and caught up with director Michael Apted who is also the man behind the 7-Up documentary series, which dips into the lives of a dozen British children every seven years.
I say children. They’re now 53!
Apted was happy to talk about plans for the next film in the 7-Up series but first he and Spencer waited for the clouds to clear so the cameras could roll on some rigging!
According to NarniaWeb.com, “Apted spent a good amount of time talking about why they decided to film primarily in Brisbane and (more specifically) Cleveland Point.” And on NarniaFans.com,
[Apted] speaks about the decision to shoot outside, versus inside of studio space that they have at Warner Studios. He mentions that shooting outside was perfect for getting great ocean views in the background of daytime shots, and that the studios were used for nighttime shots on board the Dawn Treader and otherwise. He also speaks about just how long he’s spent in Australia on the film, as well as his return home in early December.
NarniaFans.com also confirms that filming will wrap on November 27. You can listen to the Howson-Apted interview here:
