Weta Workshop Replaced by Chris Martin

MundoNarnia.com reported earlier today that Chris Martin has replaced Weta in the props department.

We found some pictures on the website of artist Chris Martin, who is working on creating / making some of the props of the Dawn Treader, showing that leaves nothing to be desired Weta Workshop.

Among many interesting things, stands a boat in miniature size is suitable for Reepicheep. In the book, the boat found in Burnt Island has great importance at the end of history by helping to fulfill the prophecy that the Dryad was for the brave mouse.

On Chris Martin’s blog there were multiple pictures posted, as well. Thanks to MundoNarnia.com for the find!

  1. I….think… that the shield looks rather fake- plastic like- but the boat looks awesome.

I thought Chris Martin was part of the Weta Workshop. I’m wondering about the translation…

i think MundoNarnia’s source for alot of this text was from this forum thread on NarniaWeb:

Obviously the first post by icarus, and the content of several other follow-up posts seem to have made it into their story – so i think you may have a translation of a translation there, hence the somewhat dodgy text. i don’t think Chris Martin works for Weta, but neither do i think he has single handedly “replaced” them.

  4. The shield is not finished yet, I think.
