Dawn Treader: Inside the Studios

dawn-treader-spy-photo-300x225“Chris,” a spy for NarniaFans.com, reports:

A friend of mine who was working as an extra on the set of Dawn Treader took this photo at Warner Roadshow Studios. It was taken with a camera phone and the quality isn’t that good. It features the Dawn Treader set with Water Cannons.

What’s the significance?

It’s not too much different than photos we’ve seen of the Dawn Treader outside.  One thing that really surprised me were the lights.  So extremely bright in an attempt to recreate the same lighting that comes naturally outside.  This leads me to believe they were shooting some day light scenes that required large ‘waves’ for the Dawn Treader to move through.

  1. Perhaps they were shooting when they were approaching Aslan’s Country, and the sunlight got unbearably bright. Remember? It was in drinking the sweet waters that they were made able to bear it.

  2. Awesome! I agree with Scott- otherwise, it might be the dark island. A weird twist, I know— but a white background would make for a cool scene with everyone having nightmares. Awesome, no?
