Former and current Narnia cast and crew: what are they doing now? Well, here are some updates!
Richard Baneham, animation supervisor for LWW, received an Oscar nomination for his visual effects work in Avatar. Tomorrow, he and other Oscar nominees will reunite at their alma mater Ballyfermot College in Dublin, Ireland. Baneham also won a 2010 Bafta award for “Best Special Visual Effects” in Avatar.
GenArts Software, visual effects provider for LWW, was also used in the 2010 Oscar-nominated films Avatar, District 9, and Star Trek.
Since playing Trumpkin in Prince Caspian, Peter Dinklage has appeared in The Last Rites of Ransom Pride (2009), a western, and Saint John of Las Vegas (2009), a dramatic comedy. He is also working on a few projects. The comedy Earthbound (2010), which also stars Kathy Bates, Kate Hudson, and Whoopi Goldberg, is still filming. Dinklage is reprising his role as Peter in the remake Death at a Funeral (2010). And he has been selected to play one of The Knights of Bassadom (2010), which is currently in pre-production. Steven Knight, who penned the script for Dawn Treader director Michael Apted’s Amazing Grace (2006) and who wrote an early draft of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010), has been chosen as screenwriter for The Lost Symbol (2012), based on The Da Vinci Code author Dan Brown’s latest novel.
An official trailer and movie poster has been released for Chloe (2009), in which Liam Neeson (Voice of Aslan) stars as suspected adulterer David. Director Michael Apted said Neeson’s lines in VDT have been recorded. Click here for Neeson’s IMDB profile.
Lisbeth Scott, who provided vocals for LWW and PC, also provided vocals for the Oscar-nominated Avatar. She has been just selected as vocalist for her first Asian film Lahore, which will premiere in theaters this March.
UPDATE:
This past Sunday, Five Minutes of Heaven, which Liam Neeson starred in, won an IFTA [Irish Film and Television Award] for “Single Drama / Drama Serial.” Neeson was also nominated for “Best Actor in a Lead Role.”
