C. S. Lewis, Narnia, and Prayer [Updated]

magdalenecollegecamThis January, retired Anglican bishop Simon Barrington-Ward shared the nature of his relationship with C. S. Lewis with students at the St. Paul Theological Centre in London. Barrington-Ward, former Magdalene College (Cambridge University) chaplain, recently “spoke at the School of Prayer Day” about his first impressions of Lewis, what Lewis had taught him about prayer, and the pair’s conversations on “the landscape of our world [as] a shadow of the eternal realm,” which also appears in The Last Battle (1956). Click here to download theĀ audio version of Barrington-Ward’s talk on Lewis [Session 2]. You can also find a summary of the talk on Mark Sommer’s blog.
