NarniaFans’ Paul Martin Aboard the “Dawn Treader”

We mentioned last week that NarniaFans admin Paul Martin and his wife Courtney would be sailing aboard the “Dawn Treader” (aka the Bristol ship “Matthew”) for a week-long trip around London. Actually, the trip is around the Cornish coast.

In the first two days of their journey, Paul and Courtney have spent one day aboard the “Dawn Treader” and one day off, because of weather conditions. They’re joined by some teen winners of the European sailing competition, as well as some “promotional teams” filming for different TV channels (I assume European ones). Paul and Courtney said their driver and the sailing crew have been very helpful and kind.

The crew is incredible and the boat looks terrific. They were given the blueprints of the head and tail of the Dawn Treader from the movie, and those parts were custom made to fit The Matthew for this promotion. They are smaller than the ones on the film’s ship, but no less striking. . . .

We’re having a great time relaxing on board the Dawn Treader, and waving to those that sail by. It’s quite fun!

UPDATE: NarniaFans’ Facebook page has two more videos, here (4 seconds) and here (1:04).
