As we all know, sadly, Narnia executive producer Perry Moore died on Thursday. In interviews with his family, there are extremely interesting tidbits about Narnia 4, which will apparently not be Silver Chair like most of us had expected, but Magician’s Nephew.
“The night before he died, he had an hour-long conversation with his mom,” father Bill Moore said as he waited at the airport for a flight to New York. “He had gotten all the good news he could possibly get.”
Perry Moore told his family he’d secured financing for another Narnia movie, “The Magician’s Nephew.” (source)
So is Magician’s Nephew greenlit? It looks like it may be. We have no official statement yet, of course, but we will keep you updated when we learn anything.
Tilda Swinton, who would play a large role in The Magician’s Nephew, and who also brings an Oscar to the Narnia series, said the following:
I really do hope they do another Narnia, it should be The Magician’s Nephew as that’s my favourite. (source)

But…WHAT ABOUT WILL POULTER?!? I mean, I’m over the moon that it sounds like another Narnia film might be being made- but you just CAN’T let a brilliant actor like Will Poulter go! If you leave it, his age might cause concern if we pick up Silver Chair after this!
this is my biggest concern! I hate the thought of losing Will as Eustace. My thought is Tilda will be the same in a few years but Will will not (age wise). He is perfect as Eustace and now i can not imagine someone else taking his place.

In a Norwegian newspaper, it said that Perry Moore wasplanning a fourth Narnia movie when he died.

I was more hoping that the Silver Chair would be next. I don’t mind the Magician’s Nephew, but I’m just thinking about Will Poulter. I mean, his age is still fine for SC, but in a couple of years… I don’t really think so.

I wouldn’t get too excited yet. It’s just kind of weird that it was strongly hinted The Silver Chair would be done next considering Michael Apted was trying to connect The Silver Chair to Dawn Treader, and a particular name dropping of Jill Pole. One possible suggestion from me, though very unlikely, could maybe be, both Magician’s Nephew and The Silver Chair could both be lit at the same time. After all, they have completely different characters. But probably unlikely like I said. Either way, I hope the next Narnia film is dedicated to Perry Moore.
It must be dedicated to Perry Moore! That’s interesting that they could do two at once…. but would that harm their finances and income?
Yeah, two films at once with a large special effects could be a bit costly, but if the films have closer release dates, they could potentially do better, which I think is a reason other film series like Harry Potter do better, because the films are released within at least a year of each other, whereas Narnia started strong, but maybe lost interest do to being released two years apart. This is my theory, but I’m not a box office analyzer.

No matter which film is produced first, all of the fans will never be made happy. It is great that there is going to be ANY Narnia movie made!!! I ‘m just glad that Walden Media is keeping the series alive.

hey if they could make each one for $120 mil. then it would only take $240 mil. for both sc and mn only $15 mil. more then pc
$120 mil is very cheap…i think it would be needed at least 160 for mnephew
Don’t get me wrong, I’m unbelievably THRILLED that they’ll be continuing the series, but they really should do The Silver Chair next! It’s not so much that it would be odd to go out of order, but the actors would age unaccordingly! Yes, I know there’s make-up and it does an amazing job, but it’s not magic! They WILL age and even the best make-up can’t do everything. They really should do The Silver Chair next, and then maybe film The Last Battle at the same time as The Magician’s Nephew. They can release The Magician’s Nephew and then work on The Horse and His Boy. They’ll release The Horse and His Boy next. And then finally, they will release The Last Battle as the finale to the chronicles. And having The Last Battle made in chronological order will mean the actors will be the right ages to where they left off in The Silver Chair.
yeah I agree with you…because it has no order….they should do it before…but they didn’t so they can wait some time and finish the rest of the parts and then do mn the horse and his boy…

I like MN.But for people SC would,I guess have been more engrossing as it has Eustace and they mentioned Jill at the end of VDT.And Will is already taller than he was in VDT..He’ll grow up too much..Or they should do both the movies together and release SC first..then after a short interval bring out MN while the spirit is still there.Maybe that would make more profit,but it’s hard right? It all seems confusing as ,up till now no one had mentioned MN being next. Everyone was on making SC if there was another movie..Well,wait,pray and watch out..That’s all we can do..And I’m just glad that there is going to be another movie..

I think they have to make magican´s nephew first , because if they do The Silver chair they must make The Last battle , and then it will make no sense with rings.
I do not think Will will be too old, cuz Ben’s 28 and his character is about 20? Will look very young and I do not think he will grow up so much in like two years^^

I am I am!:D I really want to be Jill. I think that they should stay with the order they originaly started out with. It’s the way C.S. Lewis originaly wrote it: LWW, PC, VDT, SC, HHB, MN, LB. I also think that Will Poulter is going to be to old for SC if they wait much longer, no matter how much make-up they use. Can someone tell me if I look like Jill Pole? The should do the silver chair next because almost 90% of fans have voted for it and if they release the magician’s nephew maybe the reception won’t be the same.Plus the magician’s nephew would be going back to the 3 stories we have already seen and right now most of people want to see a sequel not a prequel…I mean,of course a want to see magician’s nephew I just think is not the right time yet………….Oh! I also hope they release an Extended Edition of the dawn treader cause i heard they cut like 30 minutes of story and I felt the film was too short and lacked parts thouhg of course i love it.I’m a huge Narnia fan and I need an Extended Edition of this one.

I really,really hope that fox and walden release an extended edition of the dawn treader because I felt that there’s a lot of things missing like by example:Ramandu didn’t appear in the film and he’s an important character,also I loved the coriakin’s island part but I think it was too short and it needed to be more deep.Also they didn’t put the part when Eustace was supposed to see a dragon dying in the treasure and I heard the film was going to be longer but the cut like 30 minutes so it wouldn’d be so hard to make an extended edition….A lot of people want an extended edition so I guess they should really make one of this movie.

I don’t think they should do MN next because apparently people might get confused! There r people who didnt read the books but watched the movie. Has anyone watched Ramona and beezus? I just saw it, and I noticed they used the same exact three movie makers as Narnia! Walt Disney, walden media, and FOX.well it was sort of Narnia-like if you know what I mean. Some of The special affects and stuff

I really do enjoy how the analogies work between the biblical side of things and the Narnian side of things. Magicians nephew is a great connection with how adam and eve sinned and then evil entered the world. ElykRindo07, I am going to look those people up, because I’m not familiar with those actors.
